Your first steps with your new luxury whirlpool bath
Thank you for choosing Luna Spas. Each of our baths is handcrafted in the UK by skilled technicians and tailored to your exact specifications. We’re delighted to welcome you to the Luna Spas family and wish you many years of blissful, therapeutic bathing. Below you’ll find a clear, friendly guide to the essential first steps, the complimentary gifts we’ve included, and where to find full operating information.
A gift from us
To help you begin your spa journey straight away, we’ve included two complimentary essentials in the box. These items are small but important: they help keep your bath in top condition and make your first soak safe and enjoyable.
Dead Sea salt sachet
Dead Sea salts are mineral-rich crystals harvested from the Dead Sea and prized for their skin-nourishing properties. They dissolve readily, feel silky on the skin and are naturally oil-free which makes them an ideal, jet-safe addition to your whirlpool soak.
Suggested use: For your first relaxing soak, sprinkle the enclosed sachet into warm water once the bath is filled. Swirl gently to dissolve, then enjoy a 10–20 minute soak. The salts support gentle exfoliation and can help ease tired muscles, but always rinse the bath and run a short cleaning cycle afterwards (see the quick start below).
Chlorogene sterilising tablet
The Chlorogene tablet is a specialist sterilising tablet selected to give your new whirlpool bath a hygienic, professional-grade first clean. It helps remove any manufacturing residues and ensures the internal pipework and jets start from a clean baseline.
Why we recommend this: While our baths are assembled and checked with great care, a one-time pre-use sterilising cycle gives you additional reassurance that the system is pristine before you enjoy your first soak.
Quick start: your essential pre-use clean
Please complete this short, one-time sanitising routine before using your bath for the first time. It only takes a few minutes and ensures a safe and hygienic start.
- Fill the bath. Fill with warm water to approximately 5cm above the highest jet. This ensures the system is fully submerged and all pipework is primed.
- Add the Chlorogene tablet. Drop the enclosed sterilising tablet into the water and allow it to dissolve.
- Run the system. Switch on the whirlpool system and run the jets for 10 minutes. This circulates the sterilising solution through the pipework and jets.
- Drain and rinse. Drain the bath and rinse the interior thoroughly with clean water. If you used the Dead Sea salts, make sure all residue is removed.
- Final wipe. Give the bath a quick wipe with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner if needed. Your bath is now ready to enjoy.

Safety and care reminders
- Only use products marked as whirlpool-safe. Oily bath additives can leave residues in the pipework.
- Limit initial soaks to 15–20 minutes at a comfortable temperature (36–40°C) to avoid overheating.
- Always supervise young children and check the temperature carefully before use.
- If you have any health concerns (cardiovascular issues, pregnancy, medication), consult your GP before using hydrotherapy.
